She is the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials champion from Des Moines, Iowa. In Beijing, Lolo Jones clipped the second to last hurdle in the finals dashing her dreams of a medal. Lolo overcame a tough childhood, where her mother struggled to raise five children. She nearly quit the sport after college. Her comeback story has become an inspiration.
